Job description
An NIH funded position is immediately available for a postdoctoral fellow to work jointly in the Knox (website) and Perera (www.rushikapereralab.com) labs at the University of California, San Francisco. This joint position takes advantage of the combined expertise of the Knox lab in organoid models of exocrine tissue and the Perera lab in metabolism and organelle function to investigate how alterations in organelle physiology, metabolism and tissue architecture contribute to disease initiation and progression with a particular focus on head and neck and pancreatic cancer.
The candidate will utilize single cell RNA-sequencing, cellular and molecular assays and proteomic profiling of primary human and mouse 3D organoid cultures, cell lines and mouse models to address this question.
